Photo Hunt ~ Hands ~

A few years a go, we had this subject, this time I thought of the one photo I took, on Island of Burano, a short boat trip from Venice, Italy. One of the things they are known for is their hand made lace. You can go into several different shops and watch the ladies sitting, doing their intricate lace work. I just love this photo, thinking of all the hours those hands have held that needle and thread, and had her thimble on her finger. I would have loved to talk to her, and learn her story, but I will let her hands tell her story for me.

If you want to see other photo hunters for this week, click here, or maybe, you might just join in on the fun your self.

Thanks for stopping by, Happy week end, everyone!

Nice job on the details. I remember going to the lace factory/museum and seeing these ladies creating the intricate needleworks.

Nice post, and I can relate since I recently went back to cross stitching to stop myself from going online for a long time.
